At Vibrant Health, our goal for each of our patients is holistic health – and that includes dental care, an often overlooked but critical component of overall health.
Dental care can be all too rare for the communities Vibrant Health serves, which is why Vibrant Health established a comprehensive dental clinic a couple of years ago.
“People think ‘oh it’s just my teeth’,” Dr. Anthony Jimenez, Vibrant Health dentist, said, “but it’s part of your body like everything else, and you need to take care of it for overall health. In fact, there’s a link between gum disease and heart disease, and other health ailments.”
Often times, finances can be a barrier to dental treatment. Vibrant Health is proud to offer a sliding fee scale so that regular dental treatment can be accessible for all our patients.
Many of the patients that our dental clinic sees have never been to the dentist before, even patients who are in their 30s and 40s.
Our dentists work with great care and empathy to earn the trust of the patient – whether that’s a child or an adult who’s never visited the dentist before. We strive to be a judgement-free place where everyone is comfortable and can have their needs taken care of.
To that end, our staff speak English and Spanish, and we offer in-person translation services for patients who speak other languages. This helps our patients feel more comfortable, and gives them an advocate during what can feel like a vulnerable time.
Our staff of two dentists and several dental assistants and hygienists see children and adults six days a week (Monday-Saturday) and offer dental exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, dentures, and more. If you or someone you know needs dental care, please call today (913-342-2552) and schedule an appointment. We look forward to meeting you!
In addition to Vibrant Health’s comprehensive dental clinic, we also offer a school-based program. One of our dental hygienists transports a mobile dental unit to Wyandotte County schools to offer routine cleanings, sealants, and even dental x-rays during the school day. This allows us to meet children where they are and provide needed care.
