Join us for “A Vibrant Night” as we expand services and improve health for women and infants in Wyandotte County.
Today in Wyandotte County, 8% of babies are born underweight, leading to long term health problems; The teen pregnancy rate is more than doubled that of Kansas as a whole; 11.8% of pregnant women report smoking; and infant mortality among African American babies is twice as high as Kansas as a whole.
As part of a long-term strategy to reduce these health disparities, Vibrant Health is working to get women into care earlier in their pregnancies, address teen pregnancies and decrease disparities in infant deaths related to race. “A Vibrant Night” will be an evening to celebrate the many cultures we serve at Vibrant Health and to come together as a community to support the women and children in Wyandotte County who need access to dependable health care.
